Police Brutality is the intentional use of excessive force, usually physical, but also in the form of verbal attacks or psychological intimidation. Probably the most well known case of police brutality is the Rodney Glen King's case. On March 3, 1991 Rodney King was stopped for speeding and then beaten by LAPD officers, Laurence Powell, Timothy Wind, Theodore Briseno and Sergent Stacy Koon. While a bystandard, George Holiday, videotaped it. After that the four officers were tried in a state court for using excessive force, but were acquitted.
The Top picture is a picture of the the 1968 Democratic Convention where the CPD yet again brutalized citizen of the area, who were only trying to protest.
Warren, a high profile attorney who has been practicing law for 28 years, said: "We saw a young kid being chased by a horde of policemen across a McDonald's parking lot. They tackled him and immediately put handcuffs on him. Then Sgt. Talvy, who appeared to be in charge, began kicking him in the head and ribs and stomping him on the neck." The other police officers followed suit. "They literally gave this kid a beating which was unconscionable."
Just another reported case of police brutality
Police brutality is a terrible thing. The people who are chosen to "Serve and Protect", as it is proudly stated on CPD units, are doing the exact opposite and beating on civilians and innocent bystanders. Then our elected officials who are supposed to not make that happen, and even if it does fire the officers who do it, are not helping get rid of the few terrible people who are deciding they would rather abuse their power then protect the citizens. I truthfully think that anyone who does that should be sent to prison and serve a minimum of 5 years. The reason i say that is because if it's against the law for us it's against the law for them. Not even the police are above the law.
To stop this from happening the people need to protest, pay tribute to those who were brutalized, and bear witness to this, because it is a hate movement.
Here are ways to stop police brutality
Please take head to this because it really needs to be stopped before more innocent people get hurt.
